Our Programs work because they are taught on an individual basis with an individual study and learning plan in place. All students follow the same procedure of the :

1. Diagnostic Testing

2. Pyramid of Learning Program

3. Effective and Efficient Learning Program

4. Text Book Study Techniques Program

The students are all different age with different weaknesses and strengths.  Some students do the Pyramid of Learning Program faster than others and therefore may go onto the Effective and Efficient Learning Program and if time permits go onto the Text Book Learning Techniques Program. Very few students can expect to go on to finish all three of the Programs in the 28 day trip. But these programs naturally lead one into the other and we continue to push for your student to accomplish as much of each of the programs as possible. Always keeping in mind that each step must be accomplished and finished to our high standards before going on.

Diagnostic Testing

We start our Program by doing a complete evaluation of your student's strengths and weaknesses. The testing of the student goes all the way back to early childhood if needed, making sure that all the foundation stones are in place. We need to know exactly what pieces of knowledge are missing or weak to be able to customize an individual Program for your student. This test points out your student's weak points or any knowledge missed in the previous years of school.

The Diagnostic Test does not grade your student, it only tells us what he/she needs to work on. Once the results of the Diagnostic Tests are analyzed on an individual basis a program based on our Pyramid of Learning is drawn up.

Pyramid of Learning Program

The Pyramid of Learning Program is based on a pyramid structure with grade one at the top and gradually going down to a grade twelve level.

The small pieces get bigger with each passing year.

Small pieces missed at a grade one level only get larger as they go down the pyramid, making each level of education harder to learn. Some of the problems are corrected as he/she goes on to higher grades but the student is always that little bit behind. Being behind causes the student to lose confidence and self esteem in his/her every day life. What the pyramid shows is what things still have to be taught and learned to advance to the next level and finally up to that student's age level.

Effective and Efficient Learning Program

This is a course that is approximately 40 hours in duration and is only offered once the student has completed his particular Pyramid of Learning Program. The Effective and Efficient Learning Program is a course designed to make learning faster and easier. This program teaches students to read and comprehend at a higher rate than they could before starting the Program. The Effective and Efficient Learning Program is designed to push the students into stretching the strengths they have and to perform at a maximum Effective and Efficient reading rate. The reading exercises are designed to relate to the history, culture and literature of the area we are exploring.

Text Book Study
Techniques Program

This Program teaches a student how to study a text book, find and learn what he/she needs to know from the text book and retain that information for exam times. The technique uses the skimming and scanning method of learning from the Effective and Efficient Learning Program, going on to teaching note-taking and study habits. The Text Book Study Techniques Program teaches the easiest and fastest way to take a text book and at the end of the year write an easily studied for Exam.
